Artocarpus Heterophyllus Jack Fruit

The origin of this fruit is India , it is grown in tropical to subtropical areas throughout the world. The fruits weight can be upwards near 30 to 40 lbs. with an unusual spiky green skin, turning yellow and fragrant when ripe inside, there are many large seed surrounded by sweet aromatic flesh, the aroma of ripened fruit is extremely sweet with a distinctive flavor of banana and juicy fruit gum. A medium to large tree 10 to 20’ tall. Zone 9 and higher.
