Shipping Information
We will include a receipt with your order. We ship out on Monday and Tuesday each week. However, some orders may ship 10 to 21 days from the date received (weather permitting). It's important that plants are ready to ship. Sometimes they need hardening before going in a box for 4 days. Orders are shipped by US Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS. We typically use USPS Priority. Shipments to P.O. Boxes are accepted.
Shipping Weather
We want you to have the highest quality plants and rhizomes available, so please understand that we will wait to ship your order until temperatures exceed 40° F throughout the journey. Due to seasonal propagation and growth, we will not ship plants until they are mature enough to sell.
Partial Shipments
Occasionally, we will need to ship some plants for an order separately due to propagation times and stock on hand. We will contact you with details and get your feedback if this occurs.

Unpacking Advice:
Step 1: Unpack Immediately!
- Most boxes will indicate which side is best to open.
- Remove any loose paper.
- Remove the tape that holds the planter in place, use a knife, scissors or box cutter.
- Lift plants out of box.
- Remove the tape that holds the plant in its container.
- When a plant is mailed, it is in a dark box for many days. Plants often look unhappy after the journey. However, they will recover.
Step 2: Water
Check the pot to see if it requires watering. Water plants that are dry.
Step 3: Recovery
- Give the plants time to adjust to their new environment and recover from the journey.
- For a few days, place plants in moderate temperature and controlled sunlight exposure.
- Avoid placing in full sun immediately.
- Move plants to their new location. If you are planting outdoors remember, small plants need protection from predators!
- Some recommend leaving the plant in its new location for a week, however for small plants in tiny pots, their roots may overheat in the sun. Consider the plants needs.
