Arbutus Unedo Strawberry Tree

Remarkably good performer in a wide range of climates and soils from desert to seashore. Slow to moderate growth 5’ to 12’ with equal spread, trunk and branches have a rich brown color and tends to be twisted and gnarled with age. Dark green oblong foliage , clusters of small white flowers are produced , followed by ¾’ fruit, yellow when young and turning red at maturity, like strawberries in texture, in fall and winter fruit is edible and slightly sweet.
