Named because of its rattlesnake’s rattler shaped bract. This calathea has interwoven bracts 5″ to 10″ long and 2″ to 3″ wide and is adorned with small white flowers that peek out throughout the bracts. The bracts appear midway on short stout stalks hidden amongst the lush green ribbed foliage 2′ to 3′ long and 1′ wide, somewhat like banana leaves with a very intricate pattern! Semi-hardy. Height to 6′.
