Costus Speciosus Crepe ginger / Malay ginger

A very attractive costus from Asia. Clustering reed-like stems 6′ to 8′. 3″ ruffled fringed round white petals appear 3 or 4 at a time from a glossy red terminal cone, which stays red till the flower is finished. Blooms midsummer to fall. Can take partial sun. Root hardy. A real treasure!
