A native of Eastern Himalayas to Northeast India going dormant during the winter months, a rather short growing species of 4′, it’s flowering is mainly in summer months, sporting brilliant golden yellow flowers, in it’s native habitat it is usually growing in areas of rich humus and prefers a partial shade. Hardier than other hedychium species.
