Hedychium Gracilis

A cool growing species native to the Eastern Himalayas to India, found in it’s natural habitat growing on rock out crops and mud ledges, in a rich humus media, it’s height may reach 4′ tall, foliage is dark green, flower heads produced are 12″ tall with willowy open habit. Flowers are small curly petals and long stamens with attached pistols. Winter dormant, extremely fragrant at night, flowering from July – September and onwards. Zone 8 and higher.
