This award winning Leucadendron (also called a Conebush) is a drought tolerant evergreen shrub form South Africa and now planted in gardens around the world. These elfin sized trees are grown as ornamentals and for the cut flower trade.

Uniquely beautiful! The exotic blooms are actually colorful thick leaves that outlast typical flowers. The “blooms” turn red at the top of its foliage to form a ruby-red inflorescence. The foliage is narrow dark green leaves tinged with dark reds. Great for low maintenance and water-wise areas of your garden. Grow in sandy, fast-draining soil or container. Hardy to light freeze! Nearly disease and pest free. The ‘Safari Sunset’ was the winner of the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
