Nandina Domestica Heavenly Bamboo

The heavenly bamboo is not a true bamboo , but a upright shrub 6’ to 8’ high shrub that tends to slowly sucker at the base forming colonies, new leaves are coppery and become blue/ green with age.
Spectacular round clusters of bright red berries are produced in the fall and last well into the winter months, this bamboo is actually more showy then most hollies , because fruits are not hidden by the foliage, once established the are very drought resistant and can withstand neglect. full sun to partial, zone 8 and higher
