Beautiful, big and long blooming! Lavender purple flower spikes are great humming bird attractors. This landscape shrub grows up to 8 feet and 6 feet wide and thrives in those hard to fill shady spots. It’s a tropical, so it will die back to the roots with a frost, but will leap back to life in spring. It tolerates clay soil, wet feet and can even survive a bit of drought. A native of Mexico, beautiful evergreen shrub that produces clusters of small lavender purple flowers on 6” spikes most of the year, foliage is broad, dark green and heavily veined. Can be pruned to shape and height almost anytime of year. Great for tropical effective foliage.
